FAQ

Do your materials contain nickel? Are they allergy-friendly?

No, our jewelry is nickel-free and considered hypoallergenic. We work with high-quality, well-tolerated materials such as brass, gold-plated brass, and gold-filled with a stainless steel core.

  • Brass: An alloy of copper and zinc.
  • Gold-plated brass: The base material is brass, which is finished with a layer of 14-karat gold.
  • Gold Filled: Our gold-filled jewelry consists of a stainless steel core coated with a layer of typically 18-karat gold.

For each individual product, you will find a precise indication of the material from which the respective piece of jewelry is made in the product description.

Does brass tarnish over time?

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and may darken or develop a patina over time. This is a natural process and not a defect in quality. The original shine can usually be quickly restored with a jewelry cloth or a gentle brass cleaner.

Can I wear the jewelry while showering or swimming?

This depends on the material:

  • Brass: Brass jewelry can generally be worn when washing hands and showering. Water and mild soaps can even make the metal shine a bit again. However, we recommend removing the jewelry during sports, sleeping, and swimming in chlorinated or salt water, as sweat and other external influences can accelerate natural oxidation.
  • Gold-plated jewelry: Gold-plated jewelry should be removed when showering, swimming, exercising, and using a sauna. Water, sweat, chlorine, and care products can cause the gold plating to wear off more quickly.
  • Gold Filled: Gold Filled is water-resistant and can generally be worn when showering. However, we still recommend removing the jewelry during sports and in chlorinated or salt water to ensure it retains its original beauty for as long as possible.
  • Macrame jewelry: Our macrame jewelry can be worn without problems when showering and swimming. Over time, the colors may become slightly lighter and the thread softer and smoother as the protective wax layer gradually wears off.
How do I properly care for my jewelry?

We include care instructions with every package so that you can always refer back to how to best care for your jewelry.

Generally, the correct care depends on the material: you should protect gold-plated jewelry from water, sweat, chlorine, and care products, while brass, gold-filled, and macramé are more water-resistant. It's best to remove your jewelry during sports, sleep, and physical labor to avoid scratches and impacts. Store it dry and clean it regularly with a soft cloth.

Are the gemstones real?

Yes, we use genuine gemstones. As they are natural products, they differ in color, pattern, and structure; each stone is unique.

Can I sleep with the jewelry on?

In general, we recommend taking off your jewelry before going to bed. This protects it from scratches, deformation, and unnecessary friction and preserves its original beauty for a long time. Particularly delicate and gold-plated pieces of jewelry should always be removed overnight.
